Obsessions: Supers in Yo Face

We're all about getting in the supers, but should we stop at just our smoothies? Nah. This is the latest on our lust list. Just looking at a bottle of Dr.Jackson's makes us want to reach out and grab it. The simple no-fuss branding, classic brown bottle and old school dymo label - it's aesthetically our jam. On the tekkers side it's science-led yet nature-based (best combo going). We can't get enough of this face oil. Containing baobab, marula, calendula and arnica - each and every one a natural and potent super for the skin. The whole range is beyond, including their teas which are not only gorgeous to drink, but also super photogenic.  Dr.Jackson's, we'll love you for life.

3 ways to Celebrate the SuperMoon

If you haven't heard about the upcoming supermoon, just FYI, it's happening and it's a biggy! On Monday 14th November, the moon is going to be closer and appear bolder and brighter to the earth than it has been in nearly 70yrs (which won't happen again for another 34). What does it mean though!? Well it's going to look amazing for a start, but the spiritual bit says this particular supermoon is in Taurus, which means it's about hitting the 'bullseye' in order to 'awaken our fullest potential and realize our goals and dreams'. Basically it means we get to unleash our inner woo woo, so here's 3 simple ways to embrace it: Cleanse it out: Anything that's not working for you – let that shit go. Full moons are the perfect time for this and the last full moon before the winter months (called 'the mourning moon') is supposed to be even better (nevermind this level super). So anything not working – whether it's a small bad habit like biting your nails, or something worse like carrying round resentment and anger, to being stuck in a shitty situation or relationship. Write it down, acknowledge it, then get rid of it, let it go and say BYE LOSER. Manifest: Full moons are the best time for manifesting and reflecting on what you want. Think about where you want to be, start making a plan to get there and then see it through. What's the worst that could happen? Get intentional! Practice self-love: Take some you time, girlfriend. Go to that yoga class, book a massage, get your nails did or eat out somewhere nice. Even if it's just having a bath, putting the candles and your favourite music on. Treat yo'self!   If you want to know the full astro lowdown (yup, we're talking straight up horoscopes) check out your monthlys right here.

Morning Sunshine

There's a lot around about the benefits of starting the day wth lemon water – is it rubbish? Nope, fraid not and sorry (not sorry) – here's another article about why. Not only are they the colour of sunshine and super flavourful, they also have tons of uses. From domestic cleaning to salad dressings, to homemade face exfoliation, the humble lemon is truly a super. Lemons are packed with vitamins, hydrating electrolytes and vital minerals the body needs, so there's good reason why any health professional worth their himalayan pink salt will tell you, it's a great start to the day. The fruit is generally thought of as an acid, but when ingested it actually becomes alkaline, helping to balance the body's PH levels. It flushes out toxins (queue the word 'cleansing') by stimulating your liver, whilst helping the liver produce more enzymes than any other substance, therefore improving it's function. Then there's the aided digestion, which in turn encourages regular bowel movements - and we all like a functioning bowel, right? Totally. The list obviously doesn't end there (superfood, hello), it also fights hunger cravings, freshens breath, relieves heartburn, regulates blood pressure, reduces inflammation, helps all matters of skin issues from pimples, to wrinkles – even increasing your radiance and glow, due to the antioxidants detoxifying your blood. Shout out to the vitamin C it's packed full of, giving your immunity a massive boost. Also great for potassium levels (linked to anxiety and depression), which boost heart, brain and nerve functions too. So in a nutshell, if you don't already start your day like this, why not try being one of those annoying people who do (like us)? 21 days to create a habit – why not.
